Sept 5th to 7th - Missoula

Sept 5th – Sun – to Missoula
We stopped for diesel and propane as we pulled out of Philipsburg this morning for a 1 ½ hour drive to Missoula. We are staying at Jim & Mary’s RV Park just west of Missoula. It is “spacious & friendly” just as advertised.
After lunch we went for a few groceries and some stain for our little fence project. The rest of the afternoon & evening was spent relaxing, working on the computer and watching TV since we have cable here.

Sept 6th – Mon – Missoula
We moved to the “customers waiting for service” parking area at Bretz RV today. We are hoping that the replacement awning will be here tomorrow and that we don’t have to be here for many days. I worked on the computer a lot and we watched a golf tournament on TV. A couple from New Jersey came to our door as they were trying to figure out if anyone was working here today and we ended up chatting with them for a while. They are trying to decide if they should get an RV or a winter home when they retire.
Bretz has a free RV dump station so there was a steady stream of traffic since it was the end of a 3-day weekend. We discovered that Bretz has 79 cent propane which of course is much less than we paid yesterday.

Sept 7th – Tues – Missoula
Terry went to the service department first thing this morning and found out that even though the awning was ordered on Aug 30th, it did not ship until today. So the ETA is now Friday and we have a service appointment then. In the meantime, we are just going to camp out here. We have stayed all around the area and don’t want to drive very far just to come right back.
We thought we might get new cell phones but after visiting a Verizon store we decided to stay with what we have until the batteries get worse. Then we went to a satellite TV provider and didn’t like the options there either. I returned some stain that we got for our “fence” and got a stain pen which worked OK. But after I moved stuff onto the shelf, I decided it looked too messy and changed it all back! On to Plan B whatever that is!
While I was making dinner, Terry chatted with a couple (Jim & Nancy) who are right beside us in a Montana 5th wheel and waiting for an appointment tomorrow. They are from Port Ludlow WA and not full-timers but looking to travel more.
