Nov 10th to 12th - Mesa

Nov 10th - Tues - Mesa
Billy drove today for a little sightseeing trip. We stopped first at Goldfield which is a restored “ghost town”/tourist attraction. It is a fun place with gift stores, restaurants, a small train, horse riding, museum and assorted other buildings. Then we continued on through the Superstition Mountains to Tortilla Flats. The scenery is lovely, the road is narrow & windy and the weather was super.
We had lunch at the restaurant in Tortilla Flats and then checked out the rest of town - 2 more buildings! Drove through a nearly empty campground just out of town and wondered who stayed there for any length of time.
At dinner time, I was still full from lunch but Terry needed something to eat so we rode our bikes to a Fry’s store and picked up some chicken strips to throw in the oven for him.

Nov 11th - Wed - Mesa
Happy Birthday to brother Bob!!!
Had coffee and a dish of fruit before riding our bikes about 5 miles around & through the RV park. A bit later I made a very late breakfast and then we went with Billy & Lauri to find a Kohls and a Costco. No luck at the clearance racks or shoes for Billy at Kohls. Picked up a couple of items at Costco and had some ice cream to spoil our appetite for dinner.
I put some dessert together for dinner, we hopped on the bikes for a visit to the library to pick out a book and then it was time to join Billy & Lauri for happy hour. Lauri invited us over for dinner tonight - our turn tomorrow. I called Bob before dinner - all is good with him & the farm.

Nov 12th - Thurs - Mesa
Billy & Lauri left us to run errands today so we started the day by sleeping in. Terry has had a toothache which went away last night so he was able to get a good night’s sleep.
A neighbor came over to introduce herself and we had a nice chat with her before running some errands of our own. We checked out a couple more Kohl’s stores. Found shoes for Billy (he will have to pick them up himself!) and I got 2 tops and a pair of capris for $11.35 as their summer clothes are on clearance.
Stopped for some lunch and then to the grocery store. Put the groceries away and then took the bikes to a vegetable market across the street to find ripe pears for a salad for dinner. Checked out an Alfa motor home on the way back but luckily it was in really bad shape.
By the time Billy & Lauri got back and over to our place, there were 2 other couples visiting us. Royden & Della -from Iowa- are beside B&L and Ken & Marilyn - from Michigan - are across the street. They both have park models. They left to have dinner and I made dinner for us and B&L.
Lauri checked her email on my computer since we cannot hook up to the park wifi at our sites. Then they left to watch a “continued” show on TV.
