Nov 2nd to 4th - Mesa

Nov 2nd - Mon - Mesa
Lazed around having coffee this morning and then hit the stores. But first a stop at Denney’s for a late breakfast. Then Camping World, Costco, Petsmart & Walmart - thank you GPS system!!
Just enough time for a drink before Terry & Judy made us all a steak dinner. We had a “real” table cloth and candles outside. Also moved our dining chairs out so we didn’t have to perch on the edge of patio chairs to eat. A buddy burner provided more light and ambiance. Classy & comfy with good food!!!
This park has a many active residents with lots of walkers & cyclists passing all the time. And always a wave and a greeting.

Nov 3rd - Tues - Mesa
I worked on emails, called Marg and chatted with Judy this morning. Then we and Terry & Judy went shopping again - to return an item that we bought at Camping World and exchange booties for Sugar at Petsmart. Then a stop at WalMart for sunglasses for Judy.
We went to the pool when we got back. The water is too warm but the lap pool water is too cool when you have been out in the sun for a while. On Tues & Friday, there is music for happy hour (4-6) by the pool. We listened to a very talented singer who also played a keyboard, guitar & saxophone.
Yesterday Terry invited our “backyard” neighbors (Chris & Sonya) to join us for happy hour so we didn’t stay at the pool for too long. After a drink, we all went to Organ Stop Pizza for dinner. This pizza parlor has a huge (largest in the world) Wurlitzer pipe organ to entertain diners. An entire wall is devoted to the pipes and instruments such as drums, xylophones & an accordion - all which are controlled by the organ console. The console itself rises & lowers majestically from a pit at the start & end of a musical set. And the pizza was great! A friend of Judy’s had recommended this restaurant and we were all glad that we decided to go.

Nov 4th - Wed - Mesa
We rode our bikes to the garbage bins and then checked in at the office to see if our friends Billy & Lauri had been able to make a reservation. The office phone line was out of order for a while yesterday but they managed to get through and get a spot beside Terry & Judy. Put a couple of miles on the bikes and returned home for more coffee & breakfast.
Late in the morning, we and Terry & Judy headed for a shopping center in Queen Creek to check out a store with a 5 cent wine sale - buy 1, get 1 for 5 cents. The store is BevMor! and has a huge selection of wine along with beer, liquor, glasses, “accessories” and snacks. We all bought some necessities.
Then to World Market and a Super Target with more purchases - just food for us and a few clothing items for Terry & Judy. Billy & Lauri were setting up when we got back. They were also vacuuming up an invasion of lady bugs which they had for many days.
The RV park put on a “welcome back” party today so we all, including Chris & Sonya, walked over to join in the festivities. Wine, beer, food and music were provided. It supposedly started at 4 but when we arrived at 4:05, the inside & nearby outside tables were filled and people already had their food. We got a table on the pool deck, got our drinks & food and enjoyed the company and the music until 6.
Everyone was ready to do their own thing tonight so we all moved inside our respective rigs (AC on!) and relaxed.
