May 23th to May 25h - 100 Mile House

May 23th – Mon – 100 Mile House
Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday including health (still sick), activity level (LOW) & weather (rainy). Dad wanted to go through some stuff in his desk so I ended up checking on the internet to see if any of the coins and commemorative coins had above face value.

May 24th – Mon – 100 Mile House
The weather remains cold. We kept the upstairs wood stove burning all day so we could lay around in comfort. Terry & I made a trip into town to fuel up and pick up a few groceries. Luckily one of the grocery stores was open as most of the stores were closed for the Victoria Day Holiday.
We went to Susan Lake in the late afternoon to bring back Marg’s boat trailer. She was all packed up and reading in the motor home when we got there. The little black flies were terrible but Marg said they weren’t on the lake.
Terry put away boats & trailers while Marg & I did chores. I put a pork roast & squash in the crock pot so we added a quick salad for an easy dinner followed by the finals of DWTS.

May 25th – Tues – 100 Mile House
It takes me 15 minutes to feed the baby chicks some scraps as I just love to watch their antics.
Marg & I did some laundry & cleaning and then burned some bags of garbage & some sticks. There is a burn limitation here – piles are not supposed to be larger than 1 metre by 1 metre. Since a metre is about 39 inches, that is not a very big pile. Our stack was bigger than that but we didn’t figure any of the remote neighbors would be calling the fire department.
I needed a rest after lunch to recover from coughing and then I joined Marg in the garden. The sheep will need a new pasture soon so Marg & I took the ATV and the fence tester and drove around closing gates and testing the electric fence. It is not as strong as it should be. There is a lot of grass touching the fence in places and, while it should burn off, it needs to be sprayed with RoundUp.
By the time we got back and did the few chores, dinner was a bit later than usual.
Terry is on day 9 of his 10 days of antibiotics for bronchitis and is not feeling and sounding a whole lot better.
